Little Legs Animal Academy is a virtual clicker training academy for youth and their beloved pets! The recommended age is 9-17.
LLAA will provide a private, online space for your animal-loving littles to learn and have support with clicker training their pets with two head instructors who are experienced in clicker training a range of species.
Your first month’s subscription includes a “Clicker Training Beginner’s Guidebook” in the online Academy and essential clicker training tools sent via snail mail. Subscribers will receive different “Training Challenge” and “Enrichment Encouragement” cards each month! These cards will have step-by-step plans for training species-specific behaviors. Training behaviors include:
• Foundational clicker training behaviors to help aid basic obedience skills and food manners
• Trick training
• Agility/obstacle course behaviors
• Cooperative care behaviors
• Tips for improving your pet’s physical, mental, environmental, and emotional welfare so that we can help make training sessions as successful and ethical as possible!
This academy will also feature guest speakers who train different species of animals professionally, video examples of both adult and youth trainers working through the training challenges with their pets, and plenty of reading material to study. Our hope is to also provide additional private lesson support for individuals needing help through training behaviors*
We are currently working through shaping plans for horses, goats, dogs, cats, and rabbits! We plan to add more species to this training support group and encourage youth with pets of any species to let us know what species of pet you want to see for this Academy through the contact form.
